On this tour we pick you up in the Tórshavn area. There are several good fishing locations reachable by car. It is also possible to visit one of the more remote mountain lakes. In the latter case some hiking is to be expected. We will communicate with you regarding your preference.

We will bring the fishing gear in our van. Our regular choice is spinning rods and artificial bait, spoons and spinners. If the conditions are suitable, fly-fishing is also possible.

The tour is suitable for beginners and experienced anglers. Fishing with a spinning rod is relatively easy to learn. If you have not tried this before, we will teach you how to cast. The tour is ideal for families with children taking their first steps into the world of brown trout fishing. If you have experience in fly-fishing, you may choose this option, if conditions are favorable. If you do not have much fishing experience, we recommend that you fish with a spinning rod.

In the Faroe Islands there is no artificial restocking of brown trout or Arctic char in any of the lakes. The fish are wild in origin and hard fighting.

This tour aims at creating unique Faroe Island outdoor memories. Memories of trout fishing, beautiful scenery, stories and perhaps a good catch!

Our brown trout tours are catch and release only.

Small group tour: There can be up to 3 guests on the tour.

Clothing: The weather in the Faroe Islands is unpredictable. Please dress warm in layers with wind and rain protection and wear shoes or boots suitable for terrain. If you rent waders with integrated boots, we recommend to wear warm clothing under the waders and woolen socks. Select size of waders accordingly.
