Description
This is an authentic fishing experience! You sail in a traditional Faroese boat – the utmost of Faroese handicraft. This Faroese boat was a lifeline to the people that settled the beautiful villages you see along the coastline. With this boat type people discovered rich fishing grounds. Now you can follow in their footsteps. If this is your first attempt at fishing do not worry, sea-angling is easy to learn and fun too!
You sail out from the Argir marina and head out to the fiord “Nólsoyarfjørður” between Tórshavn and Nólsoy. The Nólsoyarfjørður is said to be the richest in the Faroe Islands when it comes to fish. The seashores along the Nólsoyarfjørður are scenic and you may expect to see seabirds.
Depending on seacurrents and weather there are several areas where you can expect to catch fish. We may sail northeast and throw our fishing lines by the islet of Hoyvíkshólmur, or we may head accross the fiord and try our luck by the island of Nólsoy.
Typical fish in area are Atlantic cod, haddock and saithe. Sometimes you may catch whiting, ling and tusk.
You may take your catch with you home. You may then choose prepare for a wonderful meal! Nowhere on the planet can you find fish as tasty and fresh as this!

Small group tour: There can be up to 5 guests on each tour.
Price: Adults DKK1695. Children DKK795. The tour needs a minimum of 2 adult tickets to run.
Available: This tour is available from September to May depending on weather conditions. The tour requires confirmation.
