This is an exclusive full day experience! You will get an opportunity at sea angling in one of the most beautiful areas in the Faroe Islands. After returning to the marina, you are invited to a local home, where your fish will be part of a wonderful meal.

You sail out from the marina in Hvannasund on Viðoy. You sail in a traditional Faroese boat – the utmost of Faroese handicraft. You sail along the varied seashore of Viðoy with spectacular gorges and grottoes – perfect for photography. You will sail deep into one of the grottoes, a place of wonder.

You sail by the village of Viðareiði, located in an isthmus between the towering mountains of Villingadalsfjall and Malinstindur. You hear local stories giving context to your impressions. You are likely to see seabirds such as puffins, as they nest in the area.

You proceed further out the fiord and cast your fishing line. There are good fishing areas by the Viðoy seashore and by Múlin on Borðoy. Fish species likely to take your bait include haddock, Atlantic cod, and saithe.

Sailing back towards the marina you sail along the extinct village of Múli.

Returning to the marina you are invited to a local home in Hvannasund. Your host, Myrna will use some of your fish to prepare a wonderful meal!

During your visit, Myrna, a teacher by education and authorized travel guide, will communicate local culture and cuisine. You will experience the Faroese hospitality and get a genuine insight into peoples’ lives in the area.

Home-made welcome drink made from local rhubarb.

Starter: Samples of traditional Faroese specialities.

Main course: Oven-baked fish with rice, potatoes, and sauce.

Desert: Home-made Ice-cream with local rhubarb.

Small group tour: There can be up to 5 guests on each tour. This tour needs a minimum of 2 adult tickets to depart. By booking 5 tickets you ensure a private tour.
